About me

My name is Emma, and I flit between wet, green Northern Ireland and beautiful Cambridge.

I'm a food addict - baking, cooking, eating; I love it all. Other addictions of mine include music, reading, shopping and travelling.

After reading a few blogs over the summer I finally decided to sit down and create my own little corner of the Internet in August 2012. However, I didn't really start to blog properly until January 2013 - and I'm so glad I did!

I took a break in the summer of 2014 to find my feet again, because I felt that blogging had become a chore. After only one month I was back again - this time with fresh ideas for CIC.

Similarly, during my AS levels in 2015 I feel out of the habit of blogging. But in summer 2016 I decided to try it once more.

Whilst I can't say that I have reached worldwide acclaim, I do like to write and I hope that you enjoy reading about what I've been up to. Here you'll find records of my baking attempts, worldly travels and thoughts I've had.

  1. Hi Emma, I was fully absorbed in the visions of a country cottage where I could order up a round of tea and scones! Lovely dream. Beautiful blog. I look forward to trying out some of your recipes and will certainly refer to your travel posts when I finally get around to visiting your gorgeous green country.
